Cape

A cape is important to explore the snow. You'll freeze to death very quickly if you don't have a quality cape!

Since the mountains around Beldamos Town are covered in snow, you have to be careful about the cold before venturing up out of the ground.

You're safe from the cold underground, and you can go up partially into the snow before you start taking damage. Your menu will have a Thermometer that indicates when it's getting too cold, and you can turn back before the temperature crosses the blue line. The snow layer will replenish every time you re-enter the mine, so if you die in the snow you may have a hard time finding the location where you were before.

In general, the rarer and more interesting things in the snow layer are up higher, so you'll want to upgrade your cape to explore up here and see what might be hiding in the snow.

The first three capes only cost coins to buy the upgrade, but later capes require some special ingredients to make them extra resistant to the cold. Keep your eye out for any special cold resistant fur you might find.
